Lepe Country Park and Beach

Lepe Country Park stretches along the Solent coast near Exbury, with a mix of shingle and sand beach, cliff-top grassland, salt marsh and woodland. Run by Hampshire County Council, the park is free to enter though pay-and-display parking applies all year. The Lookout cafe sits on the cliff top with views across to the Isle of Wight, and there are toilets, a children’s play area and picnic tables nearby.

Dogs are welcome across most of the park year round, but the main family beach is closed to dogs between April and September, marked by a flagpole at the western end and a yellow sign at the eastern end. There is an alternative coastal route along the cliff top and onto the dog-friendly section of beach during these months. Off-season, dogs have the run of the whole beach.
