Mevagissey
A working harbour village on Cornwall’s south coast, with fishing boats unloading mackerel, crab and lobster on the inner quay through the day. A medieval quay was first built here in 1430, with the outer harbour added in the 1770s as pilchard fishing grew. The Mevagissey Museum sits on the harbour and the village also has a small aquarium in the old lifeboat house and a model railway exhibition. The streets are narrow, so the Willow Car & Coach Park on the edge of the village is the place to leave the car.
