Trelissick

A National Trust estate on its own peninsula at the head of the Fal estuary, with about 500 acres of parkland and riverside woodland to walk. Around three miles of paths wind through the gardens and down to the water, with views out across the river to the King Harry Ferry. The Roundwood Quay walk passes an Iron Age promontory fort, the only one of its kind in Europe, with its ditches and banks still clearly visible. The house, garden and shop have separate opening times.
