Truro

Cornwall’s only city, built on tin and copper trade and now its main shopping and cultural centre. Truro Cathedral, finished between 1880 and 1910, is one of three UK cathedrals with three spires and stands at the heart of the city. The streets around it mix Georgian terraces and cobbled lanes with independent shops, the Lemon Street Market and a monthly farmers’ and craft market at Lemon Quay on the third Saturday from March to November. The Royal Cornwall Museum sits a few minutes’ walk away. A circular riverside walk runs from the city out to Malpas.
