Cardinham Woods
A 650-acre Forestry England woodland in the valley of Cardinham Water, ten minutes east of Bodmin. Five waymarked walking trails run from the car park, ranging from the Lady Vale Walk at around 1.5 miles to the Wheal Glynn Walk and out to the four-mile Deviock Trail, with mountain-bike routes alongside. The forest has been managed by Forestry England since 1922 and the paths take in the bubbling stream, a clapper bridge and the remains of old lead mine workings. There is a cafe at the entrance and parking is pay and display.
