Woods Cafe

Woods Cafe

On my list to visit

Woods Cafe is a family-run independent cottage cafe in the middle of Cardinham Woods, a Forestry England site near Bodmin. There’s a roaring log fire in winter and large outdoor seating in summer.

Dogs are welcome inside and outside throughout. There’s drinking water in the car park, a self-service dog wash, and a stream alongside for paddling. The menu is seasonal home-made food – brunch and lunch, sandwiches, cream teas, and cakes – with vegan and gluten-free options, Yallah coffee, and Tregothnan tea. The cafe is open daily 9am-4pm; brunch runs until 11.30am, lunch until 3.30pm, with takeaway only from 3.30pm.

Parking is Forestry England pay-and-display, £2-£7 depending on how long you stay. A short walk from the Cardinham trails, useful before or after a walk.
